What happens when I submit my order?

When your order is received, we will send you an email confirmation. Due to order volume and supply chain challenges, you can expect your order to be processed and shipped within a minimum of 4 days. We'll notify you by email when your order ships as well as if any items are sold out or on back order.

How are orders shipped?

We currently ship orders via a variety of carriers including UPS, FEDEX and USPS (ground, 2nd day air, or next day air) except for orders placed with Alaska, Hawaii, APO or FPO addresses, which are shipped exclusively via United States Postal Service (USPS). For Alaska and Hawaii orders, please allow 8-9 days for delivery. For APO/FPO orders, please allow at least 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Can I change my order after it's submitted?

If you need to change your order before it is shipped, you can request an order change by contacting Customer Service with your order number. We can change the shipping method, reduce item quantities, or cancel items on your order. Unfortunately, we cannot increase quantities or add additional items to an order. In that case, you'll need to place an additional order. To request an order change, send an email to Customer Service (be sure to reference your order number) or call us at (888) 361-2555.

How long will it take to receive my order?

At Cavender's, we begin the fulfillment process immediately. Your order will normally ship within 24-48 hours, but may take longer due to inventory fluctuations.
Orders placed after 11:00am CST are processed the following day. All orders placed after 11:00am CST Friday are processed the next business day; Monday.
Deliveries are made Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed on holidays are processed the next business day following the holiday. Cavenders.com recognizes the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

What are the different types of toe shapes available in boots?

There are various types of toe shapes, which all serve a different purpose and have their own unique style. Here are the most common toe shapes.

  • Round Toe: The preferred toe type in West Texas, also known as a U-Toe, features a very round and broad, U shape.
  • Roper Toe: This toe is a little rounder in appearance than that of the R-Toe, and is featured on all Roper style boots.
  • Traditional Toe: The classic western boot shape with a medium round toe, or R-Toe. Also includes the slightly sharper, but still rounded, J-Toe.
  • Snip Toe: A sharp pointed toe, also called an X-Toe, as well as a pointed toe with a flat, snipped tip.
  • Punchy Toe: Also known as a 7-Toe, these boots have a narrow square toe.
  • Square Toe: A very blunt and squared off toe, this shape has become the most popular style of western boots.


How do I ensure I order the right size of belt?

Belts are made in even sizes, such 32", 34", 36" and so on. You should always go up one size in a belt versus the waist size of your pants. If you wore a size 32" waisted jean, you would need to order a 34" belt.
